The Lever-Action Rifle Revival Continues At SHOT 2026

-

Lever action rifles may trace their roots to the 19th century, but at SHOT Show 2026 the category proved anything but nostalgic. From modular, AR-compatible designs and suppressor-ready carbines to space-age rimfires and classic walnut-and-steel hunting guns, manufacturers are pushing the lever gun into new territory. The following standouts showcase the most compelling new lever-action rifles unveiled on the show floor this year.

Top New Lever-Actions For 2026

Bond Arms LVRB 16” .223/5.56mm

Probably the most anticipated lever action of the 21st Century, the LVRB got a lot of attention at the 2023 SHOT Show. Finally, the production rifles are shipping. Bond Arms set the bar almost impossibly high for this short lever stoke, smooth and fast cycling, versatile lever action rifle platform and ended up filing several patents along the way to reaching their goals.

The LVRB isn’t just one rifle, but a system designed to be compatible with common mil-spec AR upper receivers, bolts, barrels and magazines to permit easy caliber conversion between .223/ 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, .350 Legend and .450 Bushmaster. It accepts any Remington 870 shotgun pattern buttstock. A polymer MagPul buttock and 30 round magazine are standard. The threaded and capped free-floated barrel is 16 inches long. Overall length is 39.5 inches and weight unloaded is 6.4 pounds. It has both a manual crossbolt safety and a passive grip safety.

Chiappa Firearms 92 Field 16.5” .44 Magnum

A slightly modernized but still very traditional looking high grade Model 92 Winchester carbine with color-case hardened receiver, blued steel and enlarged finger lever with a checkered walnut pistol grip buttstock and forend. The buttstock has a thick, soft, non-slip, buttplate. The rifle style forend has an M-LOK slot inletted at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock and a front sling swivel base on the endcap. It is optics ready with a section of Picatinny rail on the rear of the barrel which includes an adjustable aperture rear sight.  The front sight blade is enhanced for low light with a fiber optic filament. The 16.5 inch barrel is suppressor ready with a threaded and capped muzzle. www.chiappafirearms.com

Chiappa LA322 Suppressor Ready Takedown Rifle & Bandit Pistol .22 LR

This year Chiappa created two new models of their classic reproduction of the Marlin 39a takedown .22LR lever action rifle. The first is a very traditional looking, beech stocked, 18.5 inchbarrel, 14 shot, tubular magazine rifle intended for suppressed use. It lacks iron sights but has a 1/2 x 28 threaded and capped muzzle. Length overall is a compact 35.5 inches and weight is just over 5.5 pounds. The receiver has the old-school grooves cut along the top for dovetail style scope mounts. You will need a dovetail-to-Picatinny rail adapter to mount a red dot sight.

The “mare’s leg” type Bandit pistol sports a 12 inch barrel with iron sights. It has a 9 roundcapacity, measures 23.6 inches overall and weighs two pounds. Consider that this pistol could also be a small statured youngster’s first rifle.

Derya TM22 Lever Rifle .22 LR

For the last two years Turkish sporting arms maker Derya Arms had a booth at SHOT Show. During 2025 they set up Derya USA in Florida to manufacture their DY9 pistol and warehouse the imported guns for their American distributors which include RSR Group and Sports South LLC. Clearly, they plan on staying in the American market. Among their new product lines are several lever-action .22 rimfire rifles of interesting design featuring a detachable ten-round box-magazine with the option for a 15 or 25 round magazine.

The aluminum receivers are anodized and mount an 18 or 20 inch, suppressor ready, barrel with threaded and capped muzzle. Unloaded weight is just over five pounds and overall length is a compact 36 to 38 inches. All models have a rebounding hammer for safe carry with a loaded chamber. Adjustable iron sights and barrel mounted optics rail are standard. Stock styles vary from wood to polymer, two of the latter type are also fitted with versatile M-LOK aluminum forends with additional Picatinny rail sections. The polymer buttstocks are adjustable for length of pull and comb height too. The overall aesthetic should greatly appeal to fans of the Science Fiction genre. These guns would fit right in on the set of Star Wars.

GFORCE Arms LVR30 .30-30 Win

From the same company that brought us the .357 Magnum Saddlehorn, (an excellent, Turkish built, aluminum framed, reinterpretation of the classic 1892 Winchester) comes a .30-30 modeled after the famous Marlin 336. Made by the same manufacturer (Hugtek), it  has a suppressor ready, 20 inch, stainless steel barrel with a threaded and capped muzzle, adjustable open sights (the front enhanced with a fiber optic filament for better low light visibilty), strong and stable laminated wood furniture with checkering on the gripping surfaces, front and rear sling swivel bases, and a soft, non-slip, buttplate. The receiver is drilled and tapped for mounting optics.

Henry claims this rifle is the most accurate lever action ever built and guarantees it capable sub-MOA three shot groups. Henry’s Special Products Division (SPD) developed this rifle by upgrading the already excellent Lever Action Supreme Rifle into the ideal, fast, light and bolt-action-accurate varmint rifle. The Predator has a suppressor ready, free floated, 18 inch,1:8 twist, tensioned, match-grade 416R stainless steel barrel rigidly held inside a carbon-fiber tube that enhances accuracy while reducing weight and improving cooling. The forged carbon-fiber Picatinny rail provides a rock-solid mounting base for optics. The laminate stock furniture resist distortion in harsh weather and has an adjustable comb. The user adjustable trigger is factory-tuned to break cleanly at four pounds. A ten shot MSR-pattern magazine is included as is a Harris S-LM bipod. It is backed by Henry’s Lifetime Warranty and 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Overall length is 38inches and weight empty is 6.2 pounds.

Henry Repeating Arms: New Suppressor & Optics Ready Rimfires

The key features of the updated .22 rimfire models are a Picatinny rail running along the top of the receiver and a suppressor-ready round barrel with threaded and capped muzzle. In addition, the new rimfires also have pistol gripped buttstocks previously found only on Henry’s centerfire models. I examined two models: a polymer stocked all-weather hunter and an elegant walnut stocked gun. The polymer buttstock was relieved near the heal for a detachable, non-tactical,sling swivel, and had a non-slip rubber buttplate and textured  gripping surfaces. The polymer forend likewise had a molded-in transverse hole for a sling swivel and textured gripping surfaces. Noteworthy was the addition of a single M-LOK slot at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions allowing for the easy addition of a tripod, light, laser, or all three! This utilitarian all-weather small game hunter model retained its adjustable iron sights.

The traditional walnut stocked model was intended for use with optics only. It had no iron sights at all. I thought the bare barrel gave it a very sleek and graceful look. Its pistol gripped buttstockhad checkered gripping surfaces, a non-slip buttpad, and, most significantly, a raised comb that offers a better cheek-to-stock weld when using optics. It had a carbine style forend, also with checkered gripping surfaces.

Marlin Trapper Series Model 1894 10mm

This is the first Marlin ever chambered in 10mm. Hornady’s new LEVERevolution 10mm load is a tailor-made pairing. Compared to a 10mm pistol, the 16.17 inch barrel Trapper 1894 can add up to 250 feet-per-second in velocity. Conceived by hunting and fishing guides in Alaska, the Trapper series are compact, quick-handling, heavy hitters optimized for hunting or protection from dangerous animals.

They feature a threaded and capped muzzle ready for suppressor or muzzle brake. An aperture Skinner Sight system for fast target acquisition is standard. The stainless steel receiver, lever, magazine tube and barrel have a non-glare, satin finish. This new model also has an upgraded fire control system. The sear is now e-nickel Teflon-plated and the sear notch geometry in the hammer has been improved to create a smoother and more consistent trigger feel, eliminating trigger flop. The laminated wood stocks have checkered gripping surfaces, a slimmer forend, and an improved finish. Front and read sling swivel bases are standard.

S&W Model 1854 Stealth Hunter .30-30 WIN

S&W, like most American firearms manufactures and importers this year, focused on expanding their existing lever action offerings with new calibers and finish options rather than completely new guns. Black as the moonless night, the suppressor ready Stealth Hunter is now available in classic .30-30. It has a stainless steel,16.5 inch, round barrel with a 5/8 x 24 threaded and capped muzzle, forged 416 stainless steel receiver with black Armornite finish, large loop lever, 5 round tubular magazine, aluminum M-LOK forend with 15 slots, front and rear sling swivel bases, a synthetic buttstock with textured pistol grip and thick recoil pad, an extended Picatinny rail that runs from the hammer to mid-barrel, XS Sights adjustable rear ghost ring sight and HIVIZ Litewave H3 front sight, and a flat face, crisp breaking trigger. Overall length is 34.3 inches and weight is 111.2 ounces.

S&W Model 1854 Stainless Steel Rifle .360 Buckhammer

The suppressor-ready all-weather, matte stainless steel finish and black polymer stocked, 1854 rifle is now available in efficient, mild recoiling, straight walled, .360 Buckhammer. It has a stainless steel, 20 inch, round barrel with a 5/8 x 24 threaded and capped muzzle, forged 416 stainless steel receiver, large loop lever, 6 round tubular magazine, rifle style capped forend with three M-LOK slots at the nose in the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions, front and rear sling swivel bases, a synthetic buttstock with textured pistol grip and thick recoil pad, a receiver mounted Picatinny style rail, XS Sights adjustable rear ghost ring sight and gold bead front sight, and flat face, crisp breaking trigger. Overall length is 37.8 inches and weight is 117.6 ounces.

S&W Model 1854 Traditional Walnut Rifle .30-30

The most traditionally styled Model 1854 sporting walnut furniture and blued stainless steel is now available in .30-30 too. Its feature differs from the previous matte stainless steel rifle only in finish and stocking. Walnut with laser textured gripping surfaces is used here, and the traditional rifle style forend had no M-LOK slots. Overall length is 37.8 inches and weight is 120 ounces.

Taylor’s & Company Firearms Blued TC73 Rifle Taylor Tuned 9mm

The first, and still only, Model 1873 Winchester replica made entirely in America is now offered with an all blue finish. It retains all its other great features: custom smooth action, lightened (3-4 pounds) trigger pull, patent pending improved carrier block design, hardened screws and fully machined internal parts, ten-round magazine capacity, 18 inch, 1:10 RH twist, round barrel with 5/8 x 24 threaded muzzle (protective cap included) for use with a suppressor, traditionally styled adjustable sights (white bead front sight with a semi-buckhorn rear sight with reversible notch plate), polished walnut stocks with shotgun style (flat) soft rubber non-slip, buttplate, and 9mm chambering. It’s 37.5 inches overall length and weighs 8 pounds.

Taylor’s & Company Firearms Tactical Forend TC73 Rifle 18″ Taylor Tuned 9mm

Taylor’s likes to say that their TC73 is “Where Legend Meets Performance,” and I think that is nowhere better illustrated than by this new ventilated M-LOK aluminum forend version of their all-American masterpiece. It retains its traditional appeal with the added utility of all that potential rail space ready to exploit, and an intregral front sling swivel base which is the most space and weight efficient way to mount a Harris bipod. At night our ancestors had to hold a lantern with one hand and shoot varmints with the other. No need to relive that awkward nostalgia with this rifle. Includes two slot covers.

Taylor’s & Company Firearms 1892 Alaskan Takedown Full Length Magazine & Tactical Forend .357 & .44 Magnum

Made exclusively for Taylor’s by Chiappa Firearms, the Alaskan series guns are takedown models that separate at the receiver/barrel junction for compact transport and feature matte finish blued steel with textured rubber overmold walnut stocks, a rubber, non-slip buttplate, large loop finger lever for gloved hands, adjustable open sights (aperture rear and fiber optic front blade for fast target acquisition), and a Weaver/Picatinny rail at the rear of the barrel for mounting optics.This new semi-tactical model has an octagonal 16 inch barrel with full length magazine tube for a seven round capacity, rubber overmold buttstock and a new aluminum ventilated M-LOK forend. Length is 34 inches overall.

Taylor’s & Company Firearms 1892 Alaskan Takedown Suppressor Ready, Button Magazine & Tactical Forend .357 & .44 Magnum

The lightest of the Alaskan takedown line, at just under 6 pounds, is plated in matte finish hard chrome for extreme weather resistance with a half-octagon/half-round 16 inch barrel threaded 5/8 x 24 at the muzzle. A protective muzzle cap is included. It has a button magazine which reduces its capacity by one or two rounds. This new version has the same stock features and sights as the previously discussed full-length magazine 1892 Alaskan but with the option to easily install a suppressor or muzzlebrake. Paired with Hornady LeverEvolution ammo, it’s small but mighty.

Taylor’s & Co. Firearms TC86 Takedown Suppressor Ready, Walnut Buttstock & Tactical Forend .45-70 Gov‘t

Also made by Chiappe exclusively for Taylor’s, this rifle is a blend of elegant high grade vintage Winchester 1886 and modern practicality. It has a full checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock with a flat shotgun style buttplate of thick, recoil absorbing, rubber, a curved and enlarged finger-loop lever, and a beautiful color-case hardened steel receiver.

From the receive forward it gets tactical practical. The octagonal and round 16.5 inch barrel is threaded 5/8 x 24 at the muzzle and provided with a protective cap. Like the 1892 Alaskan, its adjustable open sights (aperture rear mounted on the end of a barrel mounted Weaver/Picatinny rail paired with a fiber optic enhanced front blade) are intended for fast target acquisition at close ranges. It has a somewhat shorter than full length magazine tube and a four round capacity. Its new ventilated aluminum M-LOK forend with forward sling swivel base adds a great deal of versatility for different applications. Length is 35.5 inches overall and it weighs seven pounds.

Taylor’s & Co. Firearms 1886 Ridge Runner Takedown Tactical Forend .45-70 Gov’t

In keeping with the theme of Taylor’s new releases, the 1886 Ridge Runner also got the tactical forend treatment this year. Otherwise it is the same rifle with matte blued steel finish, 18.5 inchoctagon/round barrel, 5/8 x 24 threaded and capped muzzle, enlarged “D” shaped finger lever, button magazine, four round capacity, adjustable aperture rear sight mounted at the back of a barrel mounted Weaver/Picatinny rail paired with a fiber optic enhanced front blade, and a rubber overmold walnut, straight wristed, buttstock with shotgun style rubber padded buttplate. It easily breaks down at the barrel/receiver joint for compact transport. It is 37.5 inches overall and 7.2 pounds.
