SHOT Show CCW Handguns: Concealed Carry for 2026

-

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with the SHOT Show. While I love seeing what’s new, I hate… actually, dread the walking. At this year’s SHOT Show, I trudged over 10 miles a day in search of new CCW handguns.

22 New CCW Handguns from SHOT Show 2026

Fighting my way through the aisles, along with 53,000 other attendees, I scoured the more than 2700 exhibitors’ displays in over 800,000 square feet of exhibition space. Of course, the best part of the show is the people and the opportunity to say hello to friends I’ve garnered over the last 35 years of gunwriting. That made the 2026 SHOT Show a great experience for me.

Without further ado, here are the selections I found that will be of interest to those searching for a new CCW gun.

The factory-threaded barrel supports suppressor use, while the RMS-pattern optics cut is designed for mounting a red dot. An included RMR adapter plate further expands optic options, making the APOC PRO the most adaptable pistol TriStar Arms has produced to date.

Finished in black, the APOC PRO retains the compact, striker-fired design and balanced handling that have made the APOC pistol popular, while delivering added functionality straight from the factory. The APOC PRO carries a suggested retail price of $399.00 and comes with two 15-round magazines.

Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 10MM M2.0 Carry Comp

Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 10MM M2.0 Carry Comp.

Continuing to pursue excellence in performance, the new Performance Center M&P 10MM M2.0 Carry Comp pistols focus on enhancing the shooting experience. Strategically designed to leverage the gases escaping the end of the gun during firing, the PowerPort™ helps tame the mighty 10mm’s recoil.

S&W’s exclusive ClearSight™ design pushes exhaust gases away from the optic, and its flat-face trigger allows for more consistent trigger finger placement and control. S&W ships the Performance Center M&P 10MM M2.0 Carry Comp pistols with two 15-round magazines.

Smith & Wesson Nightguard Series

Smith & Wesson Nightguard Series. SHOT Show CCW Handguns.

Lipsey’s Distributing convinced Smith & Wesson to reintroduce the Nightguard Series with some important upgrades. Built on a lightweight Scandium “L” frame, the S&W 386 and 396, chambered for .357 Magnum (7-rounds) and .44 Special (5-rounds) respectively, have 3-inch barrels. This allows the guns to have full-length ejector rods to ensure complete ejection of empty cases.

Lipsey’s also cajoled S&W engineers into deleting the much-hated internal key-lock. For durability’s sake, the barrels have a thicker forcing cone, and the crane uses a ball detent lock-up for increased strength. Given the many different bullet weights available for .38 Special, .357 Magnum, and .44 Special loads, S&W added a fully adjustable rear sight, while the front sight is an XS Tritium night sight.

For double-action shooting, the Night Guards use a smooth-faced, narrow trigger and possess an unobtrusive hammer for painless carry. Weighing just 23 ounces, the Nightguards are outfitted with Hogue Bantam rubber grips to provide recoil control and concealment.

Jason Cloessner, Lipsey’s Senior Vice President of Product Development, said, “By modernizing key components while preserving the spirit of the original, we’ve created a revolver that’s rugged, lightweight, and suitable for the street or the field.”

MSRP is $1269.

TaurusTX9

TaurusTX9.

Taurus introduced the TaurusTX9at SHOT 2026, and its modular design makes it “mission adaptable” for your carry needs. Featuring the Taurus Modular System, the gun’s serialized chassis allows the user to quickly swap frame sizes between full-size, compact, and subcompact, depending on their needs. Taurus engineers designed the gun to be ambidextrous with bilateral slide releases and a reversible magazine release.

Industry-standard sight dovetails allow the end-user to easily replace the TX9’s sights with night sights. Likewise, the slide features the Taurus Optics Ready Option (TORO) for those who wish to outfit their carry gun with a red dot.

Fully adaptable by design and optics-ready the moment you open the box, you’ll find the TX9 is purpose-built to meet the demands of serious civilian shooters, competitive shooters, and professional users alike. Nighthawk Custom Alpha Hawk

Nighthawk Custom Alpha Hawk. SHOT Show CCW Handguns.

I had the opportunity to handle and ogle Nighthawk Custom’s new Alpha Hawk at SHOT 2026. At its core is a 4.25-inch commander-length barrel featuring a precision-machined chunk port at the muzzle. Seamlessly integrated into the slide, the ported barrel reduces muzzle rise and felt recoil without adding bulk or length.

The Alpha Hawk’s frame features a magwell machined directly into the frame. Refined specifically for concealed carry, it is slightly more compact than a traditional 1911 to reduce printing while preserving control. Flat floor-plate magazines sit perfectly flush, improving reload efficiency without compromising concealment.

Complementing the frame’s reduced dimensions, the beavertail and hammer are carefully contoured and scaled to suit the Alpha Hawk’s more compact geometry. At the rear of the slide, the Alpha Hawk features interchangeable G10 RailScales slide serration inserts. Available in Black or FDE, these panels replace traditional machined serrations, allowing the shooter to tailor the pistol’s appearance to their preference.

The removable inserts can be easily swapped by removing the IOS optic plate. They are designed to match proprietary RailScales grip panels, creating a cohesive texture that extends across the front and rear backstrap and forward slide serrations. This proves clear tactile reference points for confident handling and precise slide manipulation.

Engineered from the ground up to maximize the capability of a compact carry 1911—deliberately combining compensated shooting performance with enhanced concealment through a purpose-built design refined for real-world carry. Quality is never cheap, and neither is the Nighthawk Custom Alpha Hawk. However, it does represent one of the best values for the money in the firearms industry.

For folks who do not compromise, the “One Gun-One Gunsmith” company just might be the solution to your carry needs!

It is designed to deliver exceptional recoil control, shooter enhancements, and upgraded ergonomics.

Working with Radian, Canik builds the gun with a Radian RAMJET barrel and AFTERBURNER compensator. As a result, it claims a 44% reduction in muzzle flip. Shadow Systems AXIO

Shadow Systems AXIO.

There’s no doubting the efficiency of the polymer striker-fired pistols. They’ve built decades of hard-use, proven results. Now, Shadow Systems, the American firearms manufacturer known for performance-driven pistols, announced the launch of the AXIO 9mm pistol platform. It is a new full-size, duty-capable handgun engineered from the ground up around an all-steel chassis design.

Offered in two trim levels, AXIO and AXIO Pro, the platform is also available in a 4.4-inch configuration for shooters who prefer a longer sight radius and enhanced controllability. At the heart of the AXIO’s platform is a precision-machined steel chassis that places weight where it is most effective. This delivers balance, rigidity, and a precise slide-to-frame fit.

Central to AXIO’s performance is the Overstroke Slide System. It increases slide travel and dwell time to manage recoil impulse and support consistent operation across a wide range of ammunition. The pistol is paired with an Octagon Barrel, featuring a multi-faceted geometry engineered to balance strength, weight, and durability while contributing to consistent lockup and predictable handling.

The AXIO platform also marks the introduction of Shadow Systems’ next-generation trigger system. It is engineered to deliver a smooth, consistent pull and a crisp break, with pull characteristics tuned by configuration while remaining fully drop-safe and suitable for duty use. While the system is capable of a range of pull characteristics, production AXIO models feature a 4-pound trigger, while AXIO Pro models utilize a refined 2.5-pound pull.

Combined with an enhanced ergonomics package, which includes interchangeable grip panels, a low-profile slide release, and optimized slide serrations, the AXIO is built to shoot! The AXIO pistol platform will be available through authorized dealers nationwide, with a starting market price of $1,999 for AXIO and $2,249 for AXIO Pro.
