Dead Air Silencers are known for innovative, performance-driven designs, offering exceptional suppressors for all platforms. Today, they are launching a new line focused on law enforcement and military applications. The CT5P is the first suppressor in this lineup.
Dead Air CT5P – First in a New Line From Dead Air
The CT5P was developed specifically to meet the demands of patrol officers using semi-automatic duty rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO. Built for hard-use applications, the CT5P addresses several areas of concern for defense professionals. Key among them are reduced length, light weight, minimized backpressure, flash control, and, of course, sound suppression and reduced muzzle concussion in close quarters.

Compact, Lightweight, Fixed Adapters
The CT5P is an ultralight and compact suppressor that takes the lessons learned from the venerable Lazarus 6 and Sandman X series of suppressors to a new level. By removing the HUB feature in the rear of the suppressor, and using additive manufacturing, the CT5P achieves a shorter and lighter profile.

Low Backpressure
The CT5P is optimized to flawlessly operate with minimal change in bolt velocity. It works on direct impingement and piston gas systems in both 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC. The Triskelion baffle design increases surface area in the main channel to slow gas down. Meanwhile, the Gas Management System (GMS) allows high-pressure gas to vent around the main channel, forward of the muzzle, to substantially reduce backpressure and gas in the operator’s face.

Flash Reduction, Minimized Light Reflectivity
Muzzle flash on unsuppressed rifles isn’t problematic during the day, but it hinders human vision at night. The CT5P reduces the muzzle flash and spark to a near undetectable level for 5.56 NATO-chambered rifles with barrel lengths as short as 10.5 inches. This preserves the operator’s night vision. The functional aesthetics of the CT5P provide more surface area on the outside of the suppressor, thereby releasing more heat over time and minimizing light reflectivity.

Acoustic Performance
Dead Air engineered the CT5P to achieve a low overall sound pressure level and a tone well below OSHA’s 1910.95 standard for impulse noise, without substantially increasing gas in the face. Reducing gas and improving sound reduction are important to every operator. These enhancements enable clearer communication and better threat differentiation.

Hard Use
The CT5P is constructed to withstand abuse and full-auto fire. Its overall compact and lightweight design keeps stress off the arms and shoulders during extended low-ready positions. Tested to the SOCOM SURG standard.
Caliber-rated for full auto in 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC rifles, the CT5P has no minimum barrel restrictions. It weighs 13.0 oz. in its direct-thread configuration and measures 5.5 x 1.6 inches. The unit comes in a black or FDE high-temp Cerakote finish. It includes a fixed 1/2-28 direct-thread mount and a TL001 installation tool. In addition to direct threading, the CT5P can be configured with Dead Air’s Xeno or Keymo mounting systems. The MSRPs for these models are $899 (direct thread), $999 (Xeno), and $1099 (Keymo).
