Chiappa 1911 Field Special 250th Independence Edition

-

To honor our country’s 250th anniversary, Chiappa USA offers the 1911 Field Special 250th Independence Edition. In a nod to the semiquincentennial, there will only be 250 Independence Edition 1911s available. Celebrate your independence with this limited-production commemorative pistol. Nothing says “Freedom” like a 1911 wrapped in American flag etching.

The Chiappa 1911 Field Special 250th Independence Edition

Building on Chiappa’s full-size 1911 Field platform, the 250th Independence Edition bonds American handgun heritage with commemorative styling. Taking a completely different approach to “bluing” a gun, the 1911 features a durable Blue Navy Cerakote finish. It is seriously blue. Like, American flag blue.

Its finish is enhanced by an intricately laser-etched commemorative design. The right side is adorned with stripes running diagonally throughout the grip and slide. At the end of the slide are four stars. Finally, it features the required markings, like serial number, model, etc.

The left side features similar aesthetics with the same horizontal stripes adorning the frame and slide. However, this side also digs a little deeper into our heritage with an American eagle just behind the four stars at the end of the slide. Likewise, just forward of the slide stop are four more stars. Finally, engraved into the slide, just above the slide stop, are the words “1776 – 2026, 250th Anniversary.”

Constructed from steel, the Independence Edition is chambered in .45 ACP and features a 5-inch barrel. Helping to provide a striking aesthetic, all hardware is blacked out, allowing the American flag blue to stand out. The only deviation from this are the two-tone, grey/black, textured G10 grip slabs.

Each pistol ships in a durable molded case with an 8-round magazine, trigger lock, and owner’s manual.

“The 250th anniversary of American independence represents a significant moment in our nation’s history, and we wanted to commemorate it with a firearm that honors both American heritage and one of the most iconic handgun designs ever created,” said Oscar Chiappa, Marketing Manager for Chiappa USA. “With only 250 pistols being produced, this exclusive edition offers collectors and enthusiasts a unique opportunity to own a firearm designed specifically to mark this historic occasion.”
