Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine SBR – The Latest Evolution of a Classic

-

Developed in 1941 to bridge the gap between pistols and battle rifles, the M1 carbine was widely issued during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Weighing just 5.5 lbs. with a 15-round magazine, it served as an ideal compact weapon for support troops. Now, Auto Ordnance has taken this classic to a new level with the release of the Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine SBR.

Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine SBR – A Classic Made Modern

Auto-Ordnance is proud to announce the latest evolution of a legendary American firearm with the introduction of the new suppressor-ready M1 Carbine Short Barreled Rifle (SBR). This modern iteration builds upon the esteemed heritage of the Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine, which has long been celebrated for its faithful reproduction of the military rifles that served American forces beginning in World War II.

A Quality Reproduction

While the new SBR model incorporates contemporary tactical enhancements, it remains anchored in the classic DNA that solidified the M1 Carbine’s reputation. Like its predecessors, which are produced using newly manufactured parts on high-precision computerized machinery at our Greeley, PA facility, this SBR features the timeless aesthetics of a walnut stock and matching walnut handguard.

For Modern Applications

Designed for optimal maneuverability and modern application, the M1 Carbine SBR boasts an overall length of just 30 inches, featuring a 12-inch barrel equipped with a standard 1/2-28 threaded muzzle for easy suppressor or compensator attachment. To further bridge the gap between historic utility and current shooting requirements, the firearm includes integrated M-Lok slots along the bottom of the forearm, allowing for the seamless attachment of modern accessories.

Finished in Non-Reflective Matte Black

Finished in a durable, non-reflective matte black, the SBR ships with either a 15-round or 10-round magazine . The new SBR M1 Carbine takes an already handy rifle and makes it even more useful in tight spaces. On top of that, the threaded barrel lets the shooter go quiet when silence is the best option. This modernized platform is available now at an MSRP of $1,870 for both 10 and 15-shot models.
