The Chest Rig Nomad comes handgun specific. A rugged Kydex pocket fits to CrossBreed’s premium soft, breathable leather back. Wide and padded, the backer distributes pressure and fully supports the handgun, eliminating “hot spots,” according to CrossBreed. The three-point, adjustable strap system adapts to different pack designs and clothing requirements as well.
The Nomad also incorporates a versatile handgun retention system. It loosens or tightens via pocket-to-backer screws, providing lateral tension on the handgun. It also utilizes an integrated trigger guard retainer to blend retention and draw performance.
Taking the pack off or putting in on with the Chest Rig Nomad comes easy thanks to a quick-release buckle system. Simply compress the side release just as you would the pack’s sternum buckle. The pack then slides off without necessitating removing the holster system.
