Custom 1911s Celebrating 250th Anniversary Of US Navy & Marine

-

Auto-Ordnance just released something more than a pistol… They released a tribute. To mark 250 years of service from America’s first seaborne forces, they’ve teamed with Altered Arsenal to produce two stunning, limited-edition 1911A1s: the 250th Anniversary Navy and 250th Anniversary Marines models. These are heirlooms forged in steel, not just pistols you shoot occasionally, and they wear their meaning on every curve and engraving.

This one’s a salute to the “sentinels of the sea.” The base is Arctic White and Savage Stainless Cerakote. A bright canvas that gives off a sharp, clean aesthetic. Around the engravings they’ve dusted Armor Black to make the text and emblems pop: “NAVY” in bold on the left side, and a gold-highlighted “250 YEARS” badge on the right.

Up top, the slide is engraved with motifs inspired by the Navy dress uniform. The grips are genuine hardwood, and the right grip bears a detailed portrait of John Paul Jones, considered the father of the U.S. Navy. A man staring you down through history. This is more than metal, it’s a narrative in your hands.

If the Navy piece is refined, the Marines edition is bold. The frame is coated in Stormtrooper White, contrasted by a Midnight Blue slide with accents of USMC red and gold, echoing the Marine dress uniform. “MARINES” is etched boldly to the left. To the right, “UNITED STATES” is paired with a gold-inlaid “250 YEARS” emblem.

The wooden grips carry the story forward: one side depicts Revolutionary War era Marines, the other side shows a modern Marine in full gear. Two eras, one bloodline. Like its Navy counterpart, it ships with a single 7-round magazine, ready for display or use.

Why This Matters

For sailors, Marines, veterans, collectors, for anyone who gets what a legacy means, these aren’t just firearms. They’re statements. Limited runs. Historical nods. Symbols of service. They connect the past to the present through craftsmanship and respect.

Auto-Ordnance and Altered Arsenal didn’t just make commemorative pistols, they forged rugged, meaningful reminders of American grit, sacrifice, and tradition. These 1911s carry both weight and story.

Heads-up: As with any limited-edition commemorative release, once they’re gone, they’re gone. If this speaks to you, or someone you know, act in time.
