Falco Holsters is a well-established holster company, known for its hand-made selections for a variety of handgun models. But their products don’t end with custom firearm holsters. In fact, they offer a full line of concealed carry bags, and fortunately for me, I was sent their Large Tactical Concealed Carry Gun Bag for testing.
The Falco Holsters Concealed Carry Gun Bag
This heavy-duty shoulder bag boasts multiple pockets, a comfortable ambidextrous carry, heavy-duty construction, and numerous other amenities. Is this over-the-shoulder firearm carrier a must-have or a pass-it-by? Spoiler alert: get ready to click the “Buy It Now” button.
First Thoughts
The pack was sent to me sealed within a thick plastic bag. Once opened, its newness was unmistakable. All fabric was vibrant and blemish-free. The color I selected was OD Green, and its color was consistent throughout the unit. The pack’s size (which isn’t easy to ascertain on their website) was comparable to a mini backpack. However, the Concealed Carry Gun Bag wasn’t cumbersome or bulky; it was surprisingly compact.

It’s noticeable layered compartments that jutted out from the bag’s main body didn’t make it feel off-balance or oddly asymmetrical. Overall, there were no red flags noticed upon my first viewing.
Materials and Overall Durability
Now, if you’re looking for discretion with your carry, this may not be your bag. Aesthetically and functionally speaking, this pack shouts out tactical. Its heavy nylon fabric, coupled with a large front buckle and prominent zippers, elevates this pack above a basic shoulder bag. Additionally, a front netted pouch and MOLLE-compatible webbing on the sides of the pack further put this pack definitely tactical-centric.

With that in mind, I could see and feel it was constructed to hold up to rigorous, daily use. All stitches were clean and tight. The zippers (I opted for silent zippers, and believe me, no noise was noticed when using them) were solid and smooth sliding. The shoulder strap was wide and secured with reinforced stitching.
Features and Fit
The unit featured three main compartments. With this large version of the Tactical Concealed Carry Gun Bag (a smaller version is also available), I was surprised by the amount of space within each section. Additionally, each main compartment hosted its own mini pockets, complete with pull strings and zippered closures.

Falco stated that the pack offered an ambidextrous design, and that was no lie. I positioned the bag on both my right and left sides, and it felt equally secure and accessible. The shoulder strap had a wide sliding pad for comfort, and adjusting the strap for the optimal length was quick and simple to do. A MOLLE strip along one of the sides of the strap was also a pleasant addition.
Ease of Firearm Accessibility
The pack was designed with twin zippers that circumvented the weapon compartment to a full 270 degrees. It also included dual pull strings that are used to rapidly open the large panel and allow access to your firearm. I tried it a few times empty to get the feel of it, but its lightweight body moved too much and prevented the release. However, with my training weapon secured in place, I practiced the motion several times, and it operated perfectly. The added weight definitely made a difference and allowed a smooth opening and retrieval.

Prior to this weapon test, I was debating with myself if the shoulder strap length was too long (yes, it is adjustable, but I left it on the longer side). Soon after, I realized the length was perfectly aligned with my arm’s length and took no effort for my hand to reach the pack.
Pack it or Pass?
The Falco Holsters Concealed Carry Gun Bag is an all-around win in my book. I was hard-pressed to find a negative with its construction or functionality. My only critique, and mind you, it’s a small one, lies with its small front pocket. I felt that this could have been removed and have one (or two) magazine pouches put in its place. The current pocket is a bit too small for magazines, let alone a cellphone or a thick wallet.

But aside from my own personal want, I wholeheartedly recommend this pack for your daily carry needs. It’s priced at $239.95, which may be a bit steep for some, but it’s well worth its cost. Knowing that each and every pack is handmade with superb craftsmanship and quality, it will perform for many years ahead.
