Taurus has long been known as a company focused on product diversity. They have a solid variety of firearms to meet just about every need or desire. The only category where a gap seemed to exist was the 9mm personal defense weapon (PDW) area. Today, Taurus has changed that and has released the Taurus RPC.
Taurus RPC – Compact 9mm Personal Defense Weapon
The Taurus RPC is the company’s first entry into a dedicated 9mm PDW category. Built to NATO standards, the RPC delivers a reliable, adaptable platform in a compact format.
The RPC blends proven ergonomics with modern capability, keeping operation simple and setup fast. The aluminum construction trims weight while maintaining duty-grade durability. Controls are fully ambidextrous, with the bolt release/lock and magazine release easily reached from both sides, and a reversible, non-reciprocating charging handle that adapts to the shooter, not the other way around.
Full-Length Picatinny Rail
The full-length Picatinny top rail provides space for optics and enablers, while the M-LOK handguard allows users to set up the platform to fit their needs. A 4.5″ threaded barrel comes standard, and the quick-change barrel system adds flexibility for different configurations in the future. Available with or without a Strike Industries FSA folding brace, the rear of the receiver features a vertical Picatinny rail for attachments. The RPC features a crisp single-stage flat-faced trigger, an AR-15 compatible soft rubber over-molded grip, and three integrated quick-detach sling attachment points for flexible carry.
